Only Muslims are allowed to visit the cities of Mecca and Madinah, but the Kingdom promotes a number of UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Madain Saleh in Al-Ula, which is the largest preserved site of the Nabataean civilization south of Petra in Jordan and the Al-Tarif region.
