Visitors to Egypt must obtain a visa from an Egyptian diplomatic mission unless they come from one of the visa-exempt countries or countries eligible to obtain a visa upon arrival. Visitors must hold passports that are valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Egypt.

Citizens of the following 9 countries can visit Egypt without a visa for a period of 3 months: Bahrain Hong Kong Kuwait Lebanon – at Borg El Arab Airport, Hurghada Airport, or Sharm el-sheik Airport if arriving on a charter flight. Macao Oman Saudi Arabia United Arab Emirates Malaysia (14 days)
