Al Bidya Mosque
Located about 35 kilometres north of Fujairah, the Al Bidya Mosque is the oldest in the UAE, named after the city that once surrounded it. It is built of mud bricks, and the mosque consists of a prayer hall decorated with arches, ventilation holes, and a mihrab (a mihrab referring to Mecca). and a central column that divides the interior space into four squares of similar dimensions covered with vaulted ceilings.

Bithnah fort
Bithnah was a small settlement in Wadi Ham, located just 13 kilometres west of the city of Fujairah. It was a strategic stop on the trade routes between the west and east coast for centuries. The main tourist attraction was Bithnah Fort, built in 1735, which was considered vital to the defence of this part of the eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. Bithna Fort is a massive fort of thick walls paved with golden stones, flanked by a chunky circular watchtower, which makes it particularly attractive, and behind which walls of palm groves and jagged mountains surround it.
Al Hayl Castle
It is located 11 kilometres west of the city of Fujairah, and was the seat of the ruling family. Constructed nearly 250 years ago, it has played an important role in the defence of the area, as it was used as a base for observation and patrols to guard Fujairah against attack.

Al Rafisah Dam is located six kilometres from the city of Khor Fakkan and 30 kilometres north of the city of Fujairah. It is part of the eastern coast of the Emirate of Sharjah from the stronghold of Khorfakkan. Surrounded by a landscape of dark jagged mountain peaks and home to many birds, the dam is a popular destination for families who want to rent kayaks and enjoy a quiet day out in the city surrounded by nature.

Located 45 kilometres north of Fujairah City, Al Aqah is one of the less developed resort areas in the UAE, with a handful of five-star hotels lining the beachfront. It is distinguished by its long beach, which is bordered by the rocky outcrop of Snoopy Island, which dominates the view of Oman bay. Al Aqah is a scuba diving centre in the United Arab Emirates. And although the coral reefs offshore in Oman bay are not on par with the famous Red Sea in the Middle East, there is plenty of fish life to see. Major dive sites also include two wrecks that were deliberately sunk to create an artificial reef for divers and a car graveyard site (created during the 1980s when a series of cars and trucks were sunk to create an artificial reef for local fishermen).

Hajar Mountains
The Hajar Mountains cut across the northern interior of the United Arab Emirates. It is a suitable place for hikers and climbers, and there are many valleys in the Hajar Mountains that must be explored. Among the most beautiful valleys in the region are Wadi Siji, Wadi Saham, and Wadi Maydaq. Wadi Ham, with its northern section in Ras Al Khaimah running down to its southern tip in Fujairah, is the longest wadi, and Wadi Al Taiwan is an interesting place to visit as much as the stunning mountain road it takes to reach it. Wadi Wurayah is the most famous valley in the United Arab Emirates and is a UNESCO biosphere reserve. Despite being closed by the authorities to preserve its sensitive and unique environment over the past few years, Wadi Wurayah has flora and fauna unparalleled in any other Emirati city. It is filled with a number of endangered species and stunning natural beauty. It is an ideal place for nature lovers, as you can discover many species of birds, including Blandford fox, Arabian leopards, mountain deer, caracal, and the very rare Arabian tahr.
Ain Al Madhab Springs
Fujairah has wonderful geographical elements with mountainous terrain and beautiful beaches that make it different from the rest of the cities of the United Arab Emirates. One great aspect is the picturesque hot springs that are located at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. Ain Al Madhab springs are a great escape to enjoy a refreshing dip in the hot pools. The mineral springs here produce warm sulfur water that is pumped into two pools, making it a wonderful natural spot to relax among the natural surroundings of Fujairah.
