After driving to the East of Salalah, visit Taqah an old Fishing Village, famous for the manufacture of Dried Sardines & its traditional old Dhofari Houses. See the old Castle of Taqa which dates back to many Centuries, this castle was the official residence of the Wali (Governor) of the region, Typical Dhofari Houses with carved doors. Continue through the mountain down to Wadi Darbat the ancient capital of Dhofar: the most beautiful wadi among wadis in Oman. Here you will witness the most beautiful lake ever which falls a 500ft vertical drop over. This is one of the world's magnificent natural phenomena that Existed in Oman. In Darbat caves, see paintings and inscriptions. Enjoy a picnic lunch and later visit  Tawi Atayr one of the world's largest Sink Holes (211 m deep & 150 m in diameter),
also known as the Well of Birds, where birds frequent this location, the year through.
